Types of DVT Prevention Device

Compression stockings
These are specialized stockings that provide graduated compression, exerting more pressure at the ankles and gradually decreasing pressure up the legs. Compression stockings help promote blood flow and reduce the risk of blood clot formation.

Intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) devices
These devices consist of inflatable sleeves or boots that are worn around the legs. They are connected to a pump that intermittently inflates and deflates the sleeves, applying sequential compression to the legs and improving blood circulation.

Portable sequential compression devices
Similar to IPC devices, these devices apply sequential compression to the legs but are usually smaller and more portable. They are battery-operated and can be worn while walking or performing daily activities.

FAQ

Q: What are the main raw materials used in DVT prevention devices?

A: For sequential compression devices, materials like medical - grade plastics for cuffs and electronic components for the control unit. For anti - embolism stockings, elastic fabrics such as nylon and spandex are common.

Q: How do you ensure the quality of the products?

A: We have strict quality control procedures. Raw materials are sourced from reliable suppliers and are thoroughly tested. Each production stage has inspections, and final products are tested for functionality, pressure accuracy, and durability.

Q: Are your factories compliant with international standards?

A: Yes, we comply with ISO 13485:2016 for medical device manufacturing. This ensures that our production processes, quality management, and product safety meet international benchmarks.

Q: Can you customize devices for special patient needs?

A: Yes, we can customize certain aspects like cuff sizes for sequential compression devices and stocking sizes and compression levels for anti - embolism stockings.

Q: How long should you wear a sequential compression device?

A: You should wear a sequential compression device (SCD) for as long as possible, or as close to 24 hours a day as possible, if you are unable to walk. You should continue wearing the device until your doctor says you no longer need it.

Q: How do intermittent pneumatic compression devices work?

A: Intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) devices are inflatable sleeves that prevent blood clots. You wear them on your calves (lower legs) to help your blood circulate. A plastic sleeve slides over and past each foot. Then, it goes around each calf and plugs into a small machine that makes it inflate.
